With great excitement and anticipation, Foundation for Fortitude is bringing back its lavish “Pure White Affair” Fundraiser for a third year in a row. The annual charity event, sponsored by Make it Happen Bail Bonds, and hosted by the Real Housewives of Atlanta starlet, Marlo Hampton, and Genedotcom, will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 8:00p.m.-1:00a.m. at The Grand Rose Ballroom, 9222 Arlington Expressway, Jacksonville FL 32225.
For the past two years, attendees have paid homage to the success of the beautiful young women that have been mentored through Foundation For Fortitude, but this year the celebration will be different. The all-white-attire-fundraising charity event will not only celebrate the 501c3 non-profit organization founded by Jacksonville native, mogul and humanitarian, Sherry H. Blue, but will also pay homage and honor her legacy. Foundation For Fortitude founder and Sherry Blue passed away on September 13, 2018, and its members were determined to carry the torch and continue the organization in her honor. This year’s white dress code is more meaningful and synonymous while celebrating an angel.
“Her vision is our mission,” says Foundation For Fortitude representative, Rodericka Webb. “Although Sherry Blue will not physically be with us to celebrate the Third Annual Pure White Affair, her spirit will be,” says Webb. “We greatly appreciate the support of our Jacksonville, Florida community and beyond, as they aide us in raising much needed funds to continue our enrichment programs in the honor of our great visionary.”
Foundation For Fortitude founder, Sherry Blue, was known as one of the most highly successful entrepreneurs of Jacksonville, Florida. She was the owner of Make It Happen Bail Bonds Inc., and Luxuree Limo based in Jacksonville, and flourished in a previously male dominated industry, (hailed as one of the top bail bonds women in Jacksonville).
The vision of Foundation For Fortitude stemmed from the late great Sherry Blue’s own personal triumphs, which inspired her to launch the non-profit after she experienced the trials of the college transition early on. After years of working as a veteran for corporate America, Sherry realized that she had other dreams to chase; and one of them included spreading her knowledge on the benefits of education, and sharing her story to help shape young women’s futures. Her goal was to provide guidance and mentoring to women to aid them in having the ultimate success story; and being the ultimate successful woman, like she was.
The mission of 501c3 non profit, Foundation For Fortitude, still remains the same--to ensure young women have adequate access to development trainings and seminars to excel during their matriculation. The non profit organization will continue to offer a diverse range of educational programs to increase young women’s awareness of financial and budgeting techniques, employment and college preparedness, leadership building opportunities, and other internal growth aspects to address the concept of the total woman.
To commemorate this year’s Third Annual Pure White Affair, The Real Housewives of Atlanta starlet and style expert, Marlo Hampton, will return to celebrate the memory and philanthropic work of her cherished friend and Foundation For Fortitude founder, Sherry Blue. Guests will also enjoy genuine conversations, connections, and cocktails, while keeping the mission of providing guidance and mentoring to women to become the ultimate success story in mind.
“I am so honored to return for a third year to host Foundation For Fortitude Pure White Affair,” says Marlo Hampton. “It is a privilege to celebrate Sherry Blue’s memory and her legacy--for all of the great work that she has done for the community and young college women.”
All proceeds from The Pure White Affair Fundraising Charity event will continue to go towards Foundation for Fortitude’s mission to aspire young women to flourish in every industry they walk into through the power of education.
